A Blessed Day
"There can be miracles when you believe,
though hope is frail, it's hard to kill."
Another August 15 became memorable in the history of Cradle of Joy Center for Learning. Twenty-two years ago, on the same date, a seed was planted in the heart of Teacher Marion Cruz to start a progressive preschool that will embody the values of the Catholic faith. Now, we celebrate the fruits.
On a hot and humid day, students, parents, teachers, and staff gathered on the grounds to celebrate not only the Feast of Mary's Assumption but also the blessing of Cradle's new home. Starting with a Mass, the event ended with a sumptuous feast generously provided by the parents, teachers, and staff. Some alumni were also invited to share their talents and inspire present students into taking home basic truths and principles for life. At the end of the day, when the tables were cleared, and the songs sung, all of us went home with hopeful spirits. God has proven, once again, that faith not only moves mountains, it can also build buildings.
